Christian Pincock (trombone) and Gus Carns (piano) are musicians who share a common background in jazz and also work with many other forms of music. Together, they play both deconstructions of jazz standards and free improvisation.
Christian Pincock is a trombonist and composer having performed and led workshops in jazz, composition, improvisation and computer music throughout the United States and abroad. He has recorded and presented original jazz compositions, conducted improvisation, free improvisation, multimedia compositions and multidisciplinary compositions and has worked with artists such as Ikue Mori, Darcy James Argue, and Jeremiah Cymerman. He has taught in the jazz department at University of New Mexico and has directed educational jazz bands at the New Mexico Jazz Workshop.

Pianist Gus Carns is an active and sought after performer in Seattle's jazz and creative music scene. He has studied jazz at the internationally renowned Roosevelt High School, the New England Conservatory of Music, and the University of Washington, where he is currently completing his undergraduate jazz studies. He has taken private instruction from some of the world's most preeminent artists and educators, including Fred Hersch, Jerry Bergonzi, Cuong Vu, Ted Poor, Frank Carlberg and Marc Seales. His most recent projects include Andy Clausen's Wishbone Project, and duos with Andy Clausen, Jacob Zimmerman, and Christian Pincock.
